Building a Career For Yourself

We know Rewards Points are lovely and they will certainly go down well, but we would like to talk to you about my area of expertise, which is Career Development & Approved Training.

Quite often, temporary employment starts as a stop gap, driven by necessity rather than choice, such as lack of permanent roles in your area. We understand this, however a good employee is valuable to us, no matter how they came to register with us and we don’t want to let you go for a better offer. Once we begin working with you, my team will introduce to you the concept of ongoing training towards both accreditation and qualification with the purpose of creating a career path for you. We want to show you that you can work for us for a healthy amount of time (forever?!), feel secure and that you are constantly developing your skills as well as your salary.

Take our 'Champion Programme' for example. Our long term staff are climbing towards a permanent role. They will actually become Keystaff Staff, with contracts, reviews, holiday pay and all the security expected of full time employment. They get offered key assignments and even when not on assignment, due to lack of work for example, still receive a regular wage, although that doesn’t mean they get time off for free! Those members of staff come into the offices here to help us, learn new skills and of course look after other candidates.

Training Creates Opportunities

At the moment 50% of staff on duty must be NVQ Level 2 or above and this percentage is due to change to 70% in the near future. You will increase your chances of employment with additional qualifications under your belt.

In general, education and training gives people more options. Options they may not wish to follow up but options never the less. For example being trained in First Aid will open up roles that you can still turn down but at least you were eligible for the role.

Now we can’t train you to be a doctor or as a stuntman/woman but we do have a number of training courses created to give our staff more options and a greater chance of pipping your competition to that important role.

While we have a full brochure of training courses available, for our staff it’s perhaps the ‘way’ in which we look after training that appeals the most. Every staff member after a qualifying period is enrolled on our Career Programme as mentioned above, this includes a clear training schedule where even those on assignments are encourage to keep training. The more courses the better, to increase those options for the future.

As you become more and more qualified you
can obtain higher hourly rates.

So in summary, the longer you work with us and the more you develop as an individual, we grow more and more together, being able to pay you higher rates of pay and offer you the most demanding of roles which again develop your skills and should you enjoy your work but dislike the culture of temporary work you can enrol on our Career Programme and create yet even more options for yourself.
